Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
