Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
