The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Merciful 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created the human 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 13 He has created man from dry, rotten clay like the potter's, 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 Out of these two [bodies of water] come forth pearls, both great and small. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
