The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created man, 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 That ye exceed not the measure, 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Which of the powers of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
