The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 has taught the Qur'an, 2 He created man, 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 He raised the heaven on high and set the scale. 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
