The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 He created man 3 Taught him the mode of expression. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him). 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 25
