The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created man, 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and moon rotate in a predestined orbit. 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, 7 That ye exceed not the measure, 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 25
