The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 There is no denying that it will befall - 2 It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt; 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 So that they shall be as scattered dust. 6 You shall then become three groups. 7 So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 and only a few of them from the later generations. 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 There shall go round unto them youths ever-young. 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted, 19 And with fruits, any that they may select: 20 and the flesh of birds, as they desire. 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 like hidden pearls, 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 only the words of peace and tranquillity. 26 As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand -- 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 And shade extended 30 And in perpetually flowing water. 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 And on couches or thrones, raised high. 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
