The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
