The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 some shall be abased and others exalted. 3 When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe,] 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 Those of the right hand -- how (happy) will be those of the right hand! 8 Those on the Left -- how unlucky are those on the Left! 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 In gardens of tranquility; 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 And a few from the later generations. 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 And with fruit from that which they choose. 20 and the meat of any bird that they may desire; 21 And wide eyed houris 22 like pearls preserved in their shells, 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 Bananatrees, piled 29 And a shade ever-spread. 30 and flowing water 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 never-ending and unforbidden. 33 and upraised couches. 34 and their spouses We shall have brought them into being afresh, 35 We have made them virgins, 36 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 37 For those of the right hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
