In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event will come to pass 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 (Many) will it bring low; (many) will it exalt; 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 with goblets, and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 And fruit of what they select 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 beautiful as pearls hidden in their shells. 23 The reward for what they did. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 As for the people of the right hand, how happy they will be! 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 And in everlasting shade. 30 and flowing water 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 on raised couches. 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 for the Companions of the Right 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
