۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 it is indeed a Glorious Koran, 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 the while you are [helplessly] looking on 84 And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - 85 Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 its dwelling will be boiling water 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Great Lord. 96
