▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 And verily that is a mighty oath, if ye but knew! 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 In a Book Hidden. 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And you make its denial your share? 82 Then how is it that when the (dying) breath is withdrawn into the throat (and rattles), 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray, 92 Then his reception is the hot boiling water. 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
