Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
WHATSOEVER IS IN the heavens and the earth sings the praises of God. He is all-mighty and all-wise. 1 To Him belongs the Kingdom in the heavens and earth. It is He who revives and causes to die, and He has power over all things. 2 He is the First and the Last, and the Outward as well as the Inward: and He has full knowledge of everything. 3 He it is who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, and He is firm in power; He knows that which goes deep down into the earth and that which comes forth out of it, and that which comes down from the heaven and that which goes up into it, and He is with you wherever you are; and Allah sees what you do. 4 His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and all things will go back to Him. 5 He causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night, and he is Knowing of that within the breasts. 6 Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successors. For those who have believed among you and spent, there will be a great reward. 7 What has come upon you that you believe not in God, though the Prophet is calling you to believe in your Lord? And He has already taken your pledge, if you are believers. 8 He it is who sends down clear communications upon His servant, that he may bring you forth from utter darkness into light; and most surely Allah is Kind, Merciful to you. 9 Why should you not spend for the cause of God, when God alone holds the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Those of you who spent and fought before the victory will be higher in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards. Yet God has promised you all a good reward. He is aware of all that you do. 10
