Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ All whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth proclaims the Purity of Allah, the King, the Most Pure, the Most Honourable, the Wise. 1 It is He who has raised among the unlettered people a messenger from among themselves who recites His revelations to them, and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and wisdom, for they had formerly been clearly misguided -- 2 and to others also, from among them, who have not yet joined them. He is the Mighty, the Wise One. 3 Such is Allah's favour: He bestows it on whomsoever He pleases. Allah is the Lord of abounding favour. 4 The likeness of those who were laden with the Taurat and then they bare it not, is as the likeness of the ass bearing tomes. Hapless is the likeness of the people who belie the signs of Allah. And Allah guideth not a wrong doing people. 5 Say: O you who are Jews, if you think that you are the favorites of Allah to the exclusion of other people, then invoke death If you are truthful. 6 And they will never invoke it because of what their hands have sent before; and Allah is Cognizant of the unjust. 7 Say: "Behold, the death from which you are fleeing is bound to overtake you - and then you will be brought back unto Him who knows all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind, whereupon He will make you truly understand all that you were doing [in life]. 8
