Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Blessed is He in Whose hand is the Sovereignty, and, He is Able to do all things. 1 [He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving - 2 [And] who created seven heavens in layers. You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency. So return [your] vision [to the sky]; do you see any breaks? 3 Yea, turn thy vision [upon it] again and yet again: [and every time] thy vision will fall back upon thee, dazzled and truly defeated. 4 We have adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and have made them a means to drive away the satans. We have prepared for them the chastisement of the Blazing Fire. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord is the punishment of hell, and evil is the resort. 6 When they are cast into it they will hear it sighing, the while it boils 7 Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask, "Did no Warner come to you?" 8 They shall say: Yea! indeed there came to us a warner, but we rejected (him) and said: Allah has not revealed anything, you are only in a great error. 9 And they will say, “Had we listened or understood, we would not have been among the people of hell.” 10 So now they admit their sins! Therefore accursed be the people of hell! 11 Surely those who fear their Lord in the Unseen -- there awaits them forgiveness and a great wage. 12 And conceal your speech or publicize it; indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts. 13 How could it be that He who has created [all] should not know [all]? Yea, He alone is unfathomable [in His wisdom,] aware! 14
