He it is who has made the earth easy to live upon: go about, then, in all its regions, and partake the sustenance which He provides: but [always bear in mind that] unto Him you shall be resurrected. 15 Do you feel secure that He who is in heaven will not cause the earth to sink beneath you and then begin to quake? 16 Or are ye secure that He Who is in the heaven will not send against you a whirlwind? Anon ye shall know what wise hath been My warning. 17 But indeed men before them rejected (My warning): then how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)? 18 Do they not see the birds above them with wings outspread and [sometimes] folded in? None holds them [aloft] except the Most Merciful. Indeed He is, of all things, Seeing. 19 Or who is it that will be a host for you to assist you besides the Beneficent Allah? The unbelievers are only in deception. 20 Who is there to give you food in case He withholds His bounty? Yet they persist in rebellion and aversion. 21 Who is better guided: he who walks grovelling on his face, or he who walks upright on a Straight Path? 22 Say: “He it is Who has brought you into being, and has given you hearing and sight, and has given you hearts to think and understand. How seldom do you give thanks!” 23 Say, "It is He who has scattered you on the earth; and it is to Him that you shall all be gathered [on the Day of Resurrection]. 24 They ask: 'When will this promise come, if you speak truthfully' 25 Proclaim, “Surely Allah has its knowledge; and I am only a Herald of plain warning.” 26 Then, when they see it drawing near, the faces of the unbelievers will be blackened, and it is said: 'This is what you were promised' 27 Say, [O Muhammad], "Have you considered: whether Allah should cause my death and those with me or have mercy upon us, who can protect the disbelievers from a painful punishment?" 28 Say, "He is the Beneficent One in whom we have faith and trust. You will soon know who is in manifest error". 29 Say: Have you considered if your water should go down, who is it then that will bring you flowing water? 30
