WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 [To sit] on [your] right and [your] left in separate groups? 37 Does every person among them aspire to enter a garden of pleasure? 38 Nay, verily. Lo! We created them from what they know. 39 But nay! I call to witness [Our being] the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise and sunset: verily, well able are We 40 To replace them by (others) better than them. And we are not to be outrun. 41 So leave them to plunge in vain talk and play about, until they encounter that Day of theirs which they have been promised!- 42 the Day on which they will hastily come forth from their graves, as though they were hurrying on to the altars of their deities. 43 with their eyes cast down and covered by disgrace; the day about which they were promised. 44
