WHAT, THEN, is amiss with such as are bent on denying the truth, that they run about confusedly to and fro before thee, 36 On the right and on the left, in groups? 37 Does every one of them desire to enter the bountiful Paradise? 38 By no means! For We have created them out of the (base matter) they know! 39 Now I do call to witness the Lord of all points in the East and the West that We can certainly- 40 To replace them by (others) better than them. And we are not to be outrun. 41 Then leave them alone to plunge and play until they encounter that day of theirs which they are promised, 42 the Day when they shall rush from their graves, as if they were hurrying to a raised flag, 43 their eyes are humbled and they are covered with humiliation. Such is the Day that they were promised. 44
