What is the matter with unbelievers that they stare at you with fixed gazes and hasten towards you 36 In crowds, right and left? 37 Coveteth every man of them, that he shall enter the Garden of Delight? 38 Never! For, behold, We have created them out of something that they know [only too well]! 39 But nay! I call to witness the Lord of the Easts and the Wests, that We have the power 40 Substitute for them better (men) than they; And We are not to be defeated (in Our Plan). 41 So leave them to their vain disputes and amusement till they meet their day (of reckoning) promised them, 42 The Day whereon they will issue from their sepulchres in sudden haste as if they were rushing to a goal-post (fixed for them),- 43 With their eyes lowered in fear and humility, ignominy covering them (all over)! That is the Day which they were promised! 44
