In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
You, who have wrapped yourself up with a mantle, 1 Keep vigil the night long, save a little - 2 half of it, or reduce it a little; 3 Or add (a little) thereto - and chant the Qur'an in measure, 4 For we shall charge thee with a word of weight. 5 Surely the rising by night is the firmest way to tread and the best corrective of speech. 6 You are indeed much occupied during the day with the affairs of the world. 7 And remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with [complete] devotion. 8 He is the Lord of the East and the West. There is no god but He. So take Him alone as your protector. 9 And be patient (O Muhammad SAW) with what they say, and keep away from them in a good way. 10 Leave those to Me who deny, the lovers of ease and comfort; and bear with them for a while. 11 We have in store for them heavy fetters and a blazing Fire, 12 food that chokes and painful punishment 13 On the Day when the earth and the mountains will be in violent shake, and the mountains will be a heap of sand poured out and flowing down. 14 Indeed, We have sent to you a Messenger as a witness over you, just as We sent a Messenger to Pharaoh. 15 But Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger, so We seized him with a ruinous seizure. 16 Then how, if ye disbelieve, will ye protect yourselves upon the day which will turn children grey, 17 Whereon the sky will be cleft asunder? His Promise needs must be accomplished. 18 Verily this is a reminder. So let him who desires take the way to his Lord. 19
