The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)! 1 Arise and warn, 2 And your Lord glorify 3 And your clothing purify 4 and shun uncleanness, 5 And give not a thing in order to have more (or consider not your deeds of Allah's obedience as a favour to Allah). 6 and for the sake of your Lord, be patient. 7 For when the Trump is sounded 8 that shall be a Harsh Day 9 Not easy upon the disbelievers. 10 Leave Me with him whom I created alone, 11 and whom I have granted abundant wealth 12 And sons dwelling in his presence, 13 And spread [everything] before him, easing [his life]. 14 and who still greedily desires that I should bestow upon him more. 15 Nay! For lo! he hath been stubborn to Our revelations. 16 I will make a distressing punishment overtake him. 17 For lo! he did consider; then he planned - 18 and woe to him; how he plotted! 19 Then may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated. 20 He looked (at others); 21 and then he frowns and glares, 22 then he retreated, and waxed proud. 23 And said: This is naught else than magic from of old; 24 'this is nothing but mortal speech.' 25 I will cast him into Hell-fire 26 And what can make you know what is Saqar? 27 It does not allow to live, and neither leaves [to die,] 28 it scorches (even) the skin. 29 Over it are nineteen (guards). 30 We have appointed none but angels to guard the Fire, and made their number only as a trial for the unbelievers, so that those to whom the Book was given are certain and those who believe increase in belief. And that those who were given the Book, and those who believe will not be in doubt. And that those in whose hearts there is a sickness, together with the unbelievers, may say: 'What did Allah intend by this as an example' As such, Allah leaves in error whom He will and He guides whomsoever He will. None knows the hosts of your Lord except He. This is no more than a Reminder to humans. 31
