By the moon, 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 running away from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir). Sent down in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
