Nay, by the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
