Nay, by the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 About the criminals, 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
