By no means! By the moon, 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 Till death overtook us. 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
