Nay, by the Moon 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In Gardens they will question 40 about the guilty ones: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
