Nay, by the Moon 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
