Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 A warning to mortals, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
