Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 But nay: no refuge [for thee, O man]! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat on that day. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
