Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
