Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
