Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 and the severally severing 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed time? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
