Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 and the severally severing 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
