Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
