In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
