Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
