Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 storming tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
