Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
