The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 That “Go to Firaun – he has rebelled.” 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
