The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who dive and drag, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
