The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
