The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 By the angels hastening, 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 and then he gathered [his great ones,] and called [unto his people,] 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
