The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And by those that swim along (i.e. angels or planets in their orbits, etc.). 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
