Are ye harder to create or the heaven which He hath builded? 27 He raised it high and leveled it, 28 Gave darkness to its night, and brightness to its day; 29 And after that He spread the earth, 30 And brought forth therefrom its water and its pasture; 31 And He made fast the hills, 32 All this was done as a means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 33 When the great over-whelming event arrives, 34 The Day when man will remember that for which he strove, 35 And Hell made visible to him who can see, 36 then as for him who was insolent 37 And chose the life of the world, 38 Will surely have Hell for his abode. 39 But he who feared to stand before his Lord, and restrained himself from evil desires, 40 paradise will truly be the goal! 41 They will question thee concerning the Hour, when it shall berth. 42 [But] how couldst thou tell anything about it, 43 Its knowledge rests with your Lord. 44 You are but a Herald of Warning, for one who fears it. 45 On the day when they see it, it will seem to them as though they had only lived in the world for a morning and an afternoon. 46
