▼ 79 The Snatchers
Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
Are you the harder to create or the heaven? He made it. 27 He raised high its height, then put it into a right good state. 28 Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light). 29 After this, He spread out the earth, 30 And from it produced its water and its pasture. 31 and making the mountains firm: 32 [all this] as a means of sustenance for you and your animals? 33 But when the great predominating calamity comes; 34 on the Day when man will recall all his strivings, 35 And Hell-Fire shall be placed in full view for (all) to see,- 36 then as for whosoever was insolent 37 And prefers the life of this world, 38 surely, Hell will be their refuge. 39 But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer's Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, 40 most surely his abode shall be Paradise. 41 They will ask you [Prophet] about the Hour, saying, "When it will come to pass?", 42 About what! You are one to remind of it. 43 To your Lord belongs (the knowledge of) the term thereof? 44 You are only a warner to him who has a fear of it. 45 On the Day when they behold it, [it will seem to them] as if they had tarried [in this world] no longer than one evening or [one night, ending with] its morn! 46
