He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 Because the blind man had come in his august presence. 2 You never know. Perhaps he wanted to purify himself, 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 As to one who regards Himself as self-sufficient, 5 So you are after him! 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 And he who comes to thee eagerly 8 And whereas he fears, 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, 11 So whoso wills may give heed to it. 12 On honoured leaves 13 lofty and pure, 14 (Set down) by scribes 15 noble and purified. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 Of what substance God created him? 18 He created him from a living germ. He determined his fate 19 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 20 Then He causes him to die and be buried. 21 and then, whenever He wishes, He will raise him back to life. 22 Nay, but man did not fulfil what Allah had enjoined upon him. 23 Then let man look at his food, 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 And grapes and fodder, 28 olives, dates, 29 and dense-tree'd gardens, 30 and fruit and pastures, 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 But when the Shout cometh 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 Mother and father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 For every one of them on that Day shall be business enough to occupy 37 Some faces on that day will be radiant, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, 40 Covered with the blackness (of shame): 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
