He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because the blind man came unto him. 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 As for he who is sufficed 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 although it is not for you to be concerned if he remained unpurified. 7 And as for him who cometh unto thee running, 8 and in awe of God 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 Not this way this is the advice. 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 Honourable and Virtuous. 16 Perish the human! How unthankful he is! 17 Of what substance God created him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 and then makes it easy for him to go through life; 20 then makes him to die, and buries him, 21 Then when He listeth, He shall raise him to life. 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 Let man look at his food: 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 and therein made the grains to grow 27 grapes, and fresh fodder, 28 and olives and palms, 29 and gardens dense with foliage, 30 and fruit and pastures, 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 Then when cometh the Deafening Cry 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 and from his mother and father, 35 his wife and his children. 36 on that Day each will be occupied with his own business, making him oblivious of all save himself. 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 Some faces on that Day shall be dust-ridden, 40 Blackness will cover them: 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
