The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills the Lord of the Creation. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
