Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars darken, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
