The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And the breath of morning 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
